Research, Trials, Studies!

My name is Teresa Wong and I'm the new Project Manager of the MS Research Australia Brain Bank. I work with Professor Simon Hawke at the Sydney University Brain and Mind Research Institute.
Have you heard of the MSRA Brain Bank?
Are you interested in contributing to MS research and helping scientists discover a cure for MS as soon as possible?

Just as organ donation is a gift of life to someone with organ failure, brain donation for scientific research is a wonderful gift that will lead to advances in the treatment and possibly even prevention of MS in the future.

I would like to use this forum to organize information seminars for your local MS support/friendship groups and answer any questions you may have about brain donation for MS research.

Please feel free to propose a date (Thursdays are best) and a possible venue for us to meet you. Last week we gave a presentation to the Ku-ring-gai MS Support Group at the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Gardens in Sydney and it was very well received.

For those of you not in NSW, we are planning a Road Show around Australia and the tentative schedule is:
September 17th - Canberra
October 8th - Brisbane
October 9th - Gold Coast
November 5th - Adelaide
November 6th - Perth

Melbourne and Hobart are also on our list, and I'll keep you posted on the dates, times, and venues.

I look forward to meeting you soon!

With very best wishes,

Teresa
